Today, Sandusky County TASC joins communities across the country in recognizing International Overdose Awareness Day.

Today is a day to remember the lives lost to overdose, support those who are grieving, and remind those struggling with substance use that they are not alone and recovery is possible.

Behind every statistic is a person — a family member, friend, neighbor, coworker, or loved one. We remember those we have lost, honor those in recovery, and stand with the families and communities impacted by addiction.

There is no shame in asking for help.

Recovery is possible.

One conversation can make a difference.

Every life is worth saving.

Let today be a reminder that compassion, education, prevention, treatment, and recovery can save lives.
